Psalm 127:1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
To the watchful person, it is obvious that Canada is in dire straits. A few years back the Conservative party of Canada stated that Canada was broken. The Liberals denied that fact and they spewed out more lies of why Canada is not broken. They even suggested that we have never had it as good as we do now.
Politicians live in their own bubble. If they can deceive enough people to support them, they get into that bubble and as long as their pay check keeps coming, they don’t care about anything else. They cannot appreciate those who would tell the truth. The truth exposes the rot that is in our government. That goes for the opposition parties as well as the ruling party.
Mr. Trump understands, in part that Canada is weak. He teased our former P.M. by suggesting that Canada should become the 51st state. That riled some people. He also called the P.M. the governor of Canada. That P.M. had no come back for those comments. Canada is extremely vulnerable. The Canadian governments are trying to act tough toward the U.S., but they do not mind cozying up to China. It is an interesting and dangerous situation that we find ourselves in.
It is not unpatriotic to speak the truth. It is cowardly to accept the lies being spewed and even defended in our current situation. Our problem is not with Mr. Trump. It is true that if we had a weak leader to the south of us, we would continue coasting toward destruction, but with an ice cream cone in one hand and maybe a bottle of beer in the other. Things were no better for Canada in the previous U.S. administration.
Destruction is the destination of this country. What we do not know, is when. The latest threat of tariffs from the south are just a continuation of a problem that Canada refuses to recognize and address. We are a country of weak laws. We are a country that has no problem allowing terrorists to roam our streets and have access to school boards and town councils and even leaders of provincial parties. We also have them in the federal government system. The U.S. does not like it that these people are breathing down their necks.
Interestingly, the U.S. is also being overrun by terrorists of their own. There are several states that now have such a high population of terrorists living in them, that they are no longer recognizable as normal U.S. states. The U.S. federal government is unable to address this invasion into their own country. They sure do not want more of them coming in from our country.
Then there is also the illicit drug industry in this country and the shipping of that south of the border. Our government supports the destruction of human life on many levels.
The Bible tells us that a house that is not built by the LORD, is not worth building. It cannot stand.
The nation of Israel has been around now for over four thousand years. God chose Abram and He changed his name to Abraham. He promised him that He would make a great nation of him and that all the nations of the earth would be blessed through him.
Ultimately that blessing came through Jesus Christ. He was born of the virgin Mary, through a special work of the Holy Ghost. Mary was not without sin. She needed a Saviour. No one should pray to Mary. It helps nothing. Images of Mary are idols and God condemns idolatry. Jesus Christ alone is the Saviour of mankind.
Unless Jesus Christ is your own personal Saviour and Lord, you are wasting your life.
God blessed Canada with natural resources, some of which we have exploited. We are a rich country, materially. However, we have terrible management and thus we have squandered the material blessings that God put into the ground.
More importantly, Canada had an opportunity during the 1800’s and 1900’s to know the true God. There was a time when the proclamation of the truth was more prominent in Canada, than it is today. It was during that time, that Canada also benefited materially.
The Indians claim the land belongs to them and that the Europeans came and stole it from them. The Indians never built factories or stores or shops or anything else. They sure like the developments the Europeans made in that regard. Their religions encouraged them to kill each other. They fought amongst each other. They also loved to scalp the Europeans that came into the country. God loves them as much as He loves anyone else. The solution for the Indians is to repent toward God and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, just like anyone else. We do not need to bow before them or give land acknowledgments for them.
The Europeans, which included my forefathers, came here and they developed this land for the benefit of all. The problem was and still is, that most of them came here for a better physical life. They did not understand that you cannot have a better physical life without first of all having spiritual life.
Since generation after generation of settlers in this country have continued to reject the importance of knowing the true God, this country is past its’ prime now. It is in a decline, from which it will not return. It does not matter what the politicians claim. They are liars and most of them know it. They just want to keep their pay checks coming in. They do not want to admit that the policies they are implementing will ruin this country and they will lose their pay checks as well. Lost people are blind people.
As Solomon wrote in our verse, “except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” You cannot keep a home, or a city, or a province, or a country without the LORD being in charge. All the big talk and the blowing off steam toward the president of the U.S. will not fix Canada. It will just make it worse.
There will not be a national revival in this country, but there could be a revival in individual hearts and homes. If you are not a true born again child of God, you could get saved today and begin to ask God to build your life. He knows how to build it. He knows exactly where the walls need to be and where the windows should be. He knows what is important and how to build your life.
I Timothy 1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
It will not help to blame Mr. Trump for our current situation. It really won’t help to blame our P.M. for our current situation either. Each person needs to take responsibility for his or her own actions. There are tough days ahead for this country. In the midst of those tough days, you can know the peace of God in your heart. That peace is only available to those who will submit to the God of Creation and ask Him to build your life.
We are here to help you to know that true God.
