Luke 6:39  And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

Yesterday I read of a mother’s grief at the loss of her fifteen year old daughter. The daughter chose to take her own life. No doubt that mother is grieving the loss of this daughter. I do not know where the husband and father of that family was. The mother took the reporter to the daughter’s room and showed her daughter’s clothing and then she stated that her daughter was a practicing Wiccan and she had several altars in her room.
In our opening verse Jesus warned of the danger of following blind leaders. Blind leaders might sound good. They might have some catchy phrases that are easy to remember. However, they cannot address the heart felt needs of the person. The blind will lead the blind straight into the ditch.
Obviously this girl and her mother were following blind leaders. What an utter tragedy. How is it that those parents did not have enough sense to realize that allowing their daughter to pursue such a wicked religion was destructive. Those parents had rejected the true God and they were encouraging their daughter to sell her soul to the devil.
We have been looking at God’s giving of the law to the nation of Israel. God commanded Moses to join Him in the mount. He would be in that mount with God for forty days and forty nights. God would give Him much instruction during that time. He had already given them some much-needed instruction. Aaron and his two sons and the seventy elders had enough to meditate on. They had enough for that time, to teach the people and to keep them in line.
God knows that man needs laws. We do not need a bunch of suggestions to consider and choose from. We do not need a bunch of maybe’s that might have some possibility of working, but no guarantee of working. Life is far too short to play around with it. A fifteen year old girl’s life was snuffed out because she chose not to allow God to direct her to the truth. She knows better now but it is too late for her. Her parents stood by and allowed and in fact encouraged her to pursue a path that was death every day she lived it.
It is a shame that so many adults take offence to someone who speaks the truth, but they embrace those who will promote lies.

Genesis 8:22  While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

There was also some good news yesterday. Mr. Trump had the courage to stand before the U.N. and speak some truth. He exposed the lies of the climate czars. He exposed our foolish P.M. as well as many other officials. He was right in telling the world that the pursuit of the climate change propaganda is ruining countries. Truth does not become truth because some well known figure says it. Truth is truth. More countries need to wake up. No politician in Canada is willing to speak the truth yet.
It is too bad that Mr. Trump is not yet willing to repent and be saved. Maybe that will come yet. He only has a little more than three years to lead the U.S. He could die before that time is up. We have no idea who will come after him if the Lord should tarry. There is always the possibility of the Lord’s return at any moment.
It is important to remember that the hope of man is not found in man. It is found in knowing the true God. Every true pastor should have been warning their people that the climate agenda is a hoax. It is a movement that is designed to take over man’s ability to think and act in the way God designed for him. It is wickedness. True pastors are not politicians. True pastors are to preach the Word. As our verse above states, God had declared that the normal cycle of things will continue as long as the earth remains. When there are changes in the weather patterns, it is because God does it, not because man used too many cars or there are too many cows.
We see the wickedness of man in the scene playing out now in B.C. Healthy ostriches are slated to be killed because the foolish government officials say so. They are just animals, but there is no sane reason to kill them. This is a small glimpse into the rationale the governments have been using to cull entire flocks of chickens and other fowl. It is not because of health concerns. It is a systematic way of creating food shortages. History should have alerted us to the fact that communist governments have used food as a tool to control people. Hamas is trying to do that right now in Gaza. The secular world is blaming Israel for a non-existent food shortage in that region. Any food shortage there is due to Hamas. The God-haters do not want to see that but that is the fact.
In the Bible we read that God brought about a famine in the days of Jacob and Joseph. God had a purpose for that famine. Prior to the seven years of famine, He provided seven years of plenty in Egypt. He brought Joseph, who by the way was an Israelite, to prepare the nation of Egypt for the seven years of famine. Joseph was directed by God to gather the excess grains and store them during the seven years of plenty. When the famine hit, Joseph was in a place of authority and he would distribute the food, not just to the Egyptians, but also to the nations around there. That also included supplying food for the fledgling nation of Israel. It is interesting to note that God did not bless the land of Canaan, where Jacob and his family were living at that time. God blessed Egypt with bountiful harvests and He sent Joseph into that land to prepare and distribute the food to sustain life for seven years of famine. God brought Joseph into that land to be a testimony of His greatness to a pagan nation.
This same God is still working today and He uses weather and climate to get people’s attention. It is up to God-fearing people to be bold and remind others of Who is in charge. We should not be allowing the wicked God-deniers to set the agenda. The apostles certainly did not do that.
It was also reported yesterday that well over one hundred countries have decided to support the terrorist Hamas. As I heard that, it drew my attention to Ezekiel 38. There will be a massive, well equipped army that will come against Israel at some point. That army will be so well equipped that it will look as though Israel will be doomed. They will not have the defences needed to stop this army.
That text also tells us that at just the right moment, God will intervene and He will stop that massive army. All their weapons are nothing to Him. He will destroy a large number of that army and will turn the rest back. They will not be any better off than those who were killed instantly by Him. Those who die without the Lord all end up in the same place. That place is the lake of fire.
Observation tells us that there is a segment of society that does not mind “conservatives” as long as they do not speak in absolute terms. The world cannot accept someone who proclaims “thus saith the LORD”. God’s Word is absolute. The Word of God has the answer to every situation man will ever face. The problem for most is that they refuse to accept the fact that God has preserved His Word from this generation and for ever. When you accept over one hundred different perversions of God’s Word, it is quite the mind game to believe that God has preserved His Word. When verses say the exact opposite thing, how can they be preserved by the same God? When verses are missing, how can the Word of God be preserved?
God gave us brains to think. Rather than waste our time trying to justify wrong, we should be using our time to contend for the faith once delivered unto the saints. God gave Adam the opportunity to choose what he would believe. He did not make a robot. AI was not in play there. Adam made a disastrous choice. He paid the consequences for that bad choice. Every person since then has been given the opportunity to choose. Most never get beyond the trap of sin because they refuse to choose life. It is not that the opportunity is not presented to them. They refuse to choose life.
Be sure you are not one of the many who are blind and are choosing blind leaders to lead them. Don’t follow the crowd. Listen to the Holy Spirit, Who is working in the heart of every person to bring glory to the Father. Know God’s peace and then exalt Him. Those who are saved should not be hiding behind men like Mr. Trump to expose the lies. Those who are saved should be speaking boldly regardless of whether what they say is popular. Truth is refreshing whether people want to hear it or not. In the past couple of weeks we have had some nice rain. The harvest is on right now and there are farmers who are complaining about the rain. They want sunshine. They want to get the crop off in good shape. They cannot appreciate the needed moisture that God is sending in His time, not theirs. This is a minor thing compared to the need for spiritual truth now, at this time. It is not appreciated by most, but it is needed by all.
For those who are truly saved, let us choose to speak the Truth and ask God to continue to bless His Word.
