Not Good When God Hides His Face

Deuteronomy 32:19  And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.
20  And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.
21  They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
22  For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
23  I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.
24  They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.
25  The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.
26  I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:

Israel would reject God, and He would reject them. He would abhor them. God eventually brought the Assyrians in to take the north and the Babylonians to take the south. The Babylonians would destroy the Temple and break down the walls of Jerusalem. They would take the treasures out of the house of God and they would take captives and kill others. Among those captives would be men like Ezekiel, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, Azariah. Those men would remain faithful to the Lord. They would understand that their captivity was not God’s fault. It was the fault of unfaithful kings and unfaithful priests.
The good news is that even though God needed to remove His hand for protection from them to a degree, He would never allow Israel to be destroyed.
There are other nations that no longer exist. Israel has always existed, since God named them. They still have their language as well. There are people like the French in Quebec who are trying to force others to speak French. Canada has wasted much money becoming a bilingual country. Signs written in French even though few people can read them.
Then we have the Indians who are carefully and systematically taking over Canada. They claim to be “first nations” people. The Europeans are too afraid of offending them so they are going along with the deception.
Israel will never be destroyed. There are nations now who want to wipe them out. They will not succeed.
In verse 21 we see that Israel would move God to jealousy. He has the right to be jealous. He created Israel. He took a few souls and multiplied them and showed them off as the apple of His eye. However, Israel did not want to be known as the apple of His eye. They wanted to live in paganism.
God would withdraw His hand of blessing and protection and He would watch to see how they would fare on their own.
Today, we see Israel at war and the people often having to retreat into bomb shelters. Israel has not suffered many losses thus far. Eventually this war will stop without a resolution. There will be no peace until the Prince of peace rules in the hearts of the people.
The U.S. government and the Israeli government are boasting of their success. However, Iranian rockets and drones continue to do damage. The Strait of Hormuz is still under attack. This war is not as successful as they want us to believe it is. No doubt the allied forces have hurt Iran. However, Iran has had many years to build up its military complex. They have tunnels and underground bunkers. Furthermore, God says they will be a major force in the end times. God does not lie. The war of Ezekiel 38 is still coming.
In verse 22 we read that God’s anger cannot be appeased with empty promises and rituals. The Gentile nations are no more secure than Israel. God is angry with Israel due to their spiritual corruption. He is also angry with the Gentile world due to its spiritual corruption. We have often warned of the evil emanating from most religious places of worship these days. The deception is great. Yet few are paying attention. They love the “feel” they get from the deception. They do not see it as deception. After all, can so many people be wrong? Is it not the few who are warning that are wrong?
What does Jesus say in Matthew 7:13-14 and vv.15-23? Take a King James Bible and read those verses carefully. Jesus was not wrong in what He said. False teachers abounded then and they abound now as well.
In verse 23 we see that God has been active in showing that false religion is destructive. There have been wars and rumours of wars and there have been broken homes and murders, etc. God’s arrows are much more effective than the best modern military equipment.
Tragically 6 U.S. military people died in a plane crash this week. Families will be mourning this loss of life. I am sure those people were well trained and yet something went wrong and that plane crashed and no one survived. It is important to be a friend of Israel, but not to be dragged into the sins of Israel.
In verse 24 we read that “climate change” will be part of God’s judgment. It is not man that has a direct finger on the climate. Man is inviting God’s judgment with his wickedness and God has warned and is responding with droughts and other problems. Even wild beasts become more aggressive as part of God’s judgment. God created the beasts. After the fall of man God turned them into vicious animals. God can and does employ them for His purposes.
In verse 25 we see that when God judges, there is no safe place for the rebellious. This will be particularly true in the seven year Tribulation time. The antichrist will have his goons who will be more vicious than Hitler’s goons were. It is shocking that there are people who would sell their souls and take their commands from wicked men who want to destroy all opposition.
We are witnessing a mild version of this in Canada right now. Bill C9 will empower the government and the police to go after people that truly believe in God. Those employed in doing the government’s bidding will have seared consciences and will willingly go after people they do not like. They will assume this will be for the good of society. They do not realize it will just be putting more nails into their own coffins.
In verse 26 God warned of the fact that He would scatter His people across the world. That is still true today. I saw another report yesterday, warning Jews to go back to Israel because antisemitism is on the rise. Jews are becoming less safe in countries like Canada. The governments know how to talk of intolerance for hatred, but they do not know what true hatred is and they do not care to protect those who are truly hated.
God warned this will be the reality and the consequence of rejecting Him. It is true for the Jews and it is also true for any true Christian. Those who are saved need to be aware, but not fearful. We still have a God Who wants all to be saved and He wants His Word proclaimed in all the world. He is still protecting the proclamation of His Word. There will be casualties among those who proclaim the Truth. However, those who proclaim the Truth have a home in heaven. The devil can destroy the body, but he cannot touch the soul of the saved.

Luke 12:4  And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5  But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
