26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
Israel held national elections just a few days ago. As is common, there is no clear winner at present. We see once again the failure of democracy. Due to the foolishness of democracy, Israel has allowed Muslims to move into Israel, a land that should be submissive to God. Only those who want to submit to the God of Israel should be allowed to live in that land. Yet, Israel has allowed Muslims to come into that land and they have worked together with Qatar to form a voting block to interfere in the elections. The Muslims gained 19 seats in the Knesset. That should never be allowed, but in a godless society that happens.
These God haters/Jew haters want to be able to hold influence in the governing of the nation of Israel. What a foolish idea. Yet, we see that this is all part of God’s prophecy regarding Israel’s weakness and vulnerability because they have so far rejected God as a nation. Israel will suffer severely yet because of their stubbornness.
The West is also suffering and will suffer more yet due to the foolishness of democracy. All we need to do is look at France. France welcomed Muslims into their country. They gave them social benefits that the local citizens did not have. Spoiled brats are never satisfied with what they get. The West is not Israel, nor is it a replacement for Israel. However, God gives us many illustrations so that we can learn the importance of walking in the fear of the LORD.
Closer to home we have Minnesota and Michigan and a few other states in the U.S. that are being taken over by Muslims. Muslims are taught they can lie if it advances their cause. The mainstream media is willing to “carry the water” for these terrorists. The media does not realize they are “useful idiots” being used to advance an evil ideology that is under the influence of the devil.
Democracy is an open and real attack against God. God designed the world to be a Theocracy. He designed the nation of Israel to be a Theocracy. The world has decided it does not want the true God. It is not that the world does not want a god. They just do not want the true God. By God’s grace there will always be a remnant of true saints in the world. By God’s providence, His Word will NEVER BE DESTROYED. We can be thankful for that fact.
As our text tells us, The LORD will destroy the house of the proud. That would include Canada, the U.S., France, England, etc. Israel will not be destroyed, but many Jews will be slaughtered by the antichrist. October 7, 2023 was a shocker for them as a nation. They were not prepared for that invasion. The Muslims would have killed many more Jews if God had not intervened and stopped them. However, Israel has not yet been broken and humbled. The Bible tells us it will take the ruthlessness of the antichrist to finally break them.
There are many Gentiles who also are very proud. They refuse to listen to the Word of God. They want their religious houses of entertainment. They hate the truth. Thus there will be many Gentiles in hell as well.
God contrasts the proud with the widow. The widow is defenceless. She has no one to protect her. However, the LORD will protect her. Throughout the Bible we see God looking after widows. Naomi came back to Bethlehem, a broken woman. Her husband took her out of the land due to a famine. Her husband and her sons died in a foreign land. Naomi came home with one of her daughters-in-law — Ruth. Ruth chose the God of Naomi. She could see the benefit of that God, better than Naomi could at that time. God blessed Ruth. He led her to go and glean in the fields of Boaz. Boaz was a God-fearing man. He was not looking to abuse women. He treated them with respect. He found out who Ruth was and he looked after her and Naomi. Eventually God led him to marry Ruth. She is found in the lineage of the Lord Jesus Christ. God looks after the widows who humbly submit to Him.
We can learn much from the godly examples in the Bible. We can learn that the things that we often hold so high, are not worth much at all. Submission to the Lord is primary.
In verse 26 we see that the thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD. He hates them. They run contrary to His will. That is where our government is at. That is where our country has been for a long time. It has fallen progressively worse over the years. Most people do not even recognize the danger we are in. We still have hockey and football and other distractions taking place. Meanwhile our government is pushing its global agenda. No discussion in Parliament. The P.M. is not hiding what he is doing. He is openly meeting with the E.U. even though the members of the E.U. do not want to have Canada as an associate member. That does not matter to a dictator. He just pushes for what he wants. He is a globalist. He is fulfilling Bible prophecy of a one world system. He does not want to submit to the U.S. but he is willing to submit to China and Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia and Turkey and to the E.U.
I would rather be in the minority in this wicked world and be in favour with the LORD. He says the words of the pure are pleasant words. It is far better to be pleasing to the LORD than to have a pat on the back by God-haters.
Time is short. Only what is done for Christ has any true value. Be sure you are submitted to Him.
