God’s Foundation Will Not Crumble

God’s Foundation Will Not Crumble

Psalm 11:3  If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

Over the past several days, there has been a convoy of trucks and other vehicles with drivers who support the truckers, heading down the highways of this country toward Ottawa. This convoy has gained support from people across the country as it moves toward the capital of this country. The main stream media has not had much to say about this event. The P.M. does not want to give them any publicity. The main opposition party is too chicken to come out in support of what is taking place. They do not want to take a proper place of opposing the tyranny that has taken over this land. Watching some of the footage of the convoy and the support that people are showing for these people is quite moving.
Canada is in big trouble; much bigger trouble than most people recognize. This convoy is the latest in a series of events where citizens of this country are rising up and trying to mount an opposition to the tyranny that has taken hold of this country. I can sympathize with this movement to an extent. As mentioned, we are in big trouble as a nation. We can see that it is possible to unify around a common purpose. That common purpose is the desire for those who want freedom to make their own choices with regard to bodily autonomy. People want the right to choose what they put into their bodies.
Some years back a man named Ken Ham, an Australian apologist became well known for a series of talks he gave on Creation vs. Evolution. In one of those talks he used an illustration of how he defined the problem facing Christians. He showed a diagram of the evolutionist and the Creationist, both with a cannon. The evolutionist had his cannon aimed at the foundation of Christianity, which he showed as being Creation. The Christians had their cannons aimed at the issues that flow from evolution, such as abortion, family troubles, marriage problems, etc. Mr. Ham stated that we, “Christians” were losing the battle because we did not believe in the Biblical Creation account and we did not know how to defend that account. The sad reality is that this man has completely caved in to the lies of evolution himself. No, he would still consider himself to be a Creationist. He has enlisted the support of thousands of wishy-washy “Christians” in the building of a massive Ark in Kentucky. This man no longer believes that the foundations of God are sure. He has caved on the important matter of God-honouring music. He has taken a very compromised and unbiblical position of separation and become another tool for the devil to cause the wicked to scoff at Christianity. If was very telling some years ago when he was involved in a much publicized debate with a rank evolutionist named, Bill Nye. Mr. Nye blew Mr. Ham out of the water. It was quite shocking to see this once very bold and articulate man just melt like butter before a lost man who had nothing of any value to say.
As our opening verse states: “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” All that I have stated up to this point is showing us that the foundations upon which most people are building are being destroyed. As I mentioned, I can sympathize with the plight of the many who are facing job losses and loss of basic freedoms because they will not bow to the wicked government dictates. The problem is that most of those who are fighting against these things, do not realize they have no foundation upon which to stand and fight. Where does the freedom to move around freely come from? Who gave man the right to control what he puts into his body and what he refuses to put into his body? Where does the right to life come from? Who determines when life begins and when it ends?
We could go on and on with these types of questions. The bottom line is that the God of Creation is the God Who has established basic rights and laws. Life does not begin when man determines it is viable. It begins at the moment of conception because God says so.

Psalm 139:13  For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
14  I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15  My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16  Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

On the other hand, life ends when God says it ends. God, in His mercy and grace, allows man to interfere with the quality of life and even with the end of life. However, God still declares when life ends. It does not end when the family decides to unplug that person who is no longer functioning on his or her own and machines are keeping them breathing, etc. Life ends when the Lord Who gave it breath stops that breath from flowing any longer. It is wise to understand God’s sovereign right over man and to humbly submit to that right, rather than adopt a pagan view of sovereignty that mocks God.
Our freedom to move around and grow crops and build things, etc. comes from God, not from man. God established the boundaries for the nations and He determined their limitations. God chose to move Abram from his homeland of Ur of the Chaldees and take him to a new land that was occupied by pagans at that time. He showed Abram that land. He demonstrated His authority over Abram by changing his name to Abraham. He told him that it would be another 430 years before his descendants would move into that land. At the precise time, his descendants entered that land and God claimed that land as the land of Israel. He drove the pagans that had occupied that land before, out of that land. All the enemies did not leave because Israel refused to obey God. They rejected the foundations and even the righteous were taken captive by Babylon and they spent 70 years in exile in a foreign land. However, the righteous could still stand on that which was important and that was God and His truth. Daniel and Azariah, Mishael and Hananiah stood true to God in a pagan land because they were righteous men. They chose to know the true God and they could be a blessing to a pagan king because they stood upon the sure foundation.
As we look at our country today, the voice that is going to speak the loudest is still the voice of God. I am not a prophet, nor am I the son of a prophet. I do not know what the final outcome of this current protest will be. Will God allow some reprieve from the wickedness of our rulers? I do know that our rulers are ignorantly following God’s Word.

Revelation 13:11  And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12  And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13  And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14  And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15  And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16  And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18  Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

This is not mythology. This is not a fairy tale. This is what is coming upon this wicked world one day very soon. It is coming because man has rejected God’s foundation. The ungodly are involved in an experiment that is all part of God’s judgment upon wicked humanity.
The righteous can still stand today as we see this time approaching. The righteous will not be here when the anti-christ comes along. We can see the preparations being made for that now, but we will not be here at that time.
We will not stand by hiding behind a convoy such as the one making its way to Ottawa. We will not stand by cowering behind empty suited politicians who just want your vote and could care less about what you believe. Just don’t stand in their way as they push for a place of power.
We will stand if we stand upon the foundation that cannot crumble. We will stand if we have God’s standard of righteousness, not man’s. We will stand when God is given His rightful place in our hearts and lives.
We need to pray for the many who have demonstrated their hope in this convoy. I believe they will be disappointed. I believe this could well be another nail in the coffin as people realize that all these efforts seem to fall on deaf ears. The governments want us to believe that there is no hope outside of turning to them.
Those who are saved can still be like Daniel and his three friends today. God has not changed. The question is: are you on His side today?
