God’s Judgment Is Sure

Proverbs 6:12  A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.
13  He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;
14  Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
15  Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.

A naughty person is a wicked and worthless person. Verse 12 tells us that. A froward mouth is a crooked mouth. The person cannot be trusted. God has been warning about bad financial dealings. We see once again that we do not need to trip over ourselves and get into all kinds of financial messes. We just need to be saved and surrendered to the God Who knows everything.
Greed is a terrible thing. Greed is what is behind the whole gambling scene. Gambling used to be illegal in Canada. The government determined it could make a lot of money off of gamblers. Thus the government “legalized” the sin and collects its share of the winnings. Many losers are willing to give up their money in hopes of getting rich quick. It takes many suckers to allow for one individual to get some extra cash. As the saying goes: ‘easy come, easy go’.
Gambling is only one form of greed. There are many ways to express greed. An ungodly agreement is often motivated by greed.
The froward man knows how to trick you. He knows how to wink with his eyes. He knows how to use his feet in a smooth way that tricks the gullible. He also knows how to use his fingers to work his charm.
God says this person is not up to anything good. His heart is perverse. He is always scheming. Mischief is the name of his game. In order for his game to work, he has to cause discord. He has to cause division and strife.
This is a very good description of our current governments. It is not just the Liberals that are guilty of this. All the parties seem to be playing the same game, just at a little different pace. Mr. Trump has become the ‘bean bag’ to kick around and to accuse of being the bad guy. All the while the bad guys are sitting in government collecting fat pay checks, much of which is coming from gullible taxpayers who believe the lies.
When I was farming, older and wiser farmers used to say, whatever the government advises you to grow, do the exact opposite and you will be doing quite well. The government is not looking after the common people. They just try to milk as much money out of us as they can. When we are of no further use to them, they find a way to dispose of us. Thus we have the MAID program being used by the government to dispose of people they do not want around.
It is not just governments that are guilty of what God is describing here. There are many others who are looking to take advantage others.
God warns that these deceptive people will face His wrath. They sit back and assume things are going quite well for them. They are busy counting their profits, but all of a sudden the bottom falls out of their scheme. Take a look at where our previous P.M. is now. He is acting like some foolish spoiled teenager. Oh yes, I forgot that is what he is. The only difference is that he is older than a teenager, but still acting like that spoiled young person. If we had any law in this country, he would be prosecuted and in prison, but we do not have that. However, God has a law that is sure. He is in charge and He will deal with the unjust. He is merciful and wants people to be saved.
If we look in the mirror we have to agree that we are not that different from the ‘big shots’. It is just that they have more power and money to play with. It is only through the grace and mercy of God that a person sees who he really is and turns to God in repentance and trusts in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. That is what makes the difference.
It is important to know the true God and to trust in Him. He knows all things. If you have bound yourself in a bad deal, do what God says. Don’t continue to listen to the lies of the devil. Humble yourself and stop trying to protect your ego. Admit you sinned. Face up to the facts and deal with it honestly and quickly. There is no benefit to dragging things out. The longer you delay, the more costly it becomes. You might think you are wiser and you have figured out how to recover your losses. There are losses that are far greater than the loss of money. Family relationships are far more important than money. A right relationship with God is far more important than money. Don’t sacrifice that which cannot be bought for that which loses its value very quickly. Evil governments can do much financial damage to a country. Inflation can eat up the value of things quickly. However, the government cannot diminish the value of a godly family.

Matthew 6:19  Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
