Genesis 9:6  Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

I trust the study we undertook on the book of Job has been a blessing to those reading these devotionals. That study will help to shape our future studies. All of Scripture is designed to help the true child of God to build on the sure foundation of the Lord Jesus Christ. All Scripture is designed to help the lost person to see the imperative of being saved and thus getting on the sure foundation of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The text we have today was given to Noah by God, after the flood. Only eight people were left on the earth at that time. It was up to Noah and his wife and his three sons and their wives to begin the process of filling the earth with people once again. Noah and his family needed to be reminded of the sanctify of life. God is the One who gives physical life and He is the only One Who rightfully sets the parameters for the end of life. Spiritual life is also a gift of God and it requires the choice of man to receive it.
It is not that many years ago where an NDP politician worked to assist a person to “legally” commit suicide. At that time the debate was on medically assisted suicide. For years the governments supposedly insisted that suicide was against the law. They acted as though they wanted to try to prevent people from taking their own lives. Then as mentioned, things started to shift and it became a compassionate thing to help people with severe medical problems to be able to “die with dignity”. In 1993 a farmer from Saskatchewan killed his severely handicapped daughter in what he called an act of mercy. The government took him to court and he was eventually convicted of second degree murder and sentenced to ten years in prison. He has since been given full parole, but is still fighting to have his name cleared. That particular case has many twists and turns to it, but the killing of a living person without just cause, is murder according to God.
It is interesting to know that this man needs to fight to have his name cleared when in 2021 the government of Canada passed Bill C-7 which makes it “legal” to kill another human being who is not guilty of an unjust killing. It is also interesting to note that capital punishment is not allowed in Canada because it is “not right to take another person’s life for any reason”. Yet the murder of unborn children has been allowed and accepted by many for many, many years and now by changing the name from medically assisted suicide to MAID — Medical Assistance In Dying, it is the “compassionate” thing to do.
We see again how a godless system works. When man becomes his own god, mankind is in big trouble. We have witnessed a gross overreach of governmental powers over the past three years with the mandates on masks and social distancing and the shots that the government has tried to force upon all people. The mandate on the shots in particular, goes against the Nuremberg Code which was passed after the Second World War. It was a reaction to prevent another Hitlerian type of mass murder. Yet now, through deception and godless leaders, Parliament has passed a law to endorse the murder of people with medical problems and they want to expand it to people with mental health problems.
All of this is the result of accepting the ungodly government funded health care system. I can remember when there was no government funded health care. I was a child at that time, but I am sure that the medical bills could be quite a challenge in a family that had individuals that were not particularly healthy. However, with the government run health care system, we see that our government now thinks they own us and have the right to tell us what drugs and poisons we should take and which drugs and even herbal remedies we should not take.
It is too late now to get the horse back in the barn. He has long left and he is enjoying the frolicking around that he can do.
Jesus warned the people in John 8:44:

John 8:44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Government protected murder is still murder. It is just that now the tax-payer funded government is the promoter of murder, rather than the protector of peace in our land. Where will it end? Fasten your seatbelts. The world is in for a much rougher ride yet.
It will end for the true saints when the Lord Jesus comes in the clouds and the trumpet of the Lord sounds and the New Testament saints are removed from this earth. For the wicked it will end at the end of the Millennium. However, for the wicked there is worse to come. The end of the wicked is eternal torment in the lake of fire. This is not a good prospect, but it is the result of rejecting God’s offer of salvation now.
Those who fall for the lies that the government is promoting; that it is ok to end a life for various reasons, will not be spared by the Judge of All the Earth. God has already declared that human life is a gift from God and it is under His authority. Those who want to dismiss God and set their own standards of right and wrong, will find that their end is not a good one.
We need to be willing to look beyond the few short hours we might think we can see. We need to know the true God and ask Him for wisdom so that we can make wise choices. For the saved person, we should understand that our lives are in God’s hands. God has enabled certain people to be trained as doctors and nurses. There are a few of them who know the fear of the Lord and they look at humanity from a Biblical perspective. The majority of the doctors and nurses look at life from the evolutionary perspective. Those people will never come up with the correct view of life and they will not know how to treat human beings properly.
It is only due to God’s mercy and grace that these brainwashed people can give aid to their fellow human beings in a somewhat safe manner. God is again showing us that He can and does override the evil plans of the devil. He provides for ungodly people who walk in darkness, to be able to live out their days in relative good health, with some assistance from medical people, at times.
It is wise for those who are saved to be much in prayer for all things. We need God’s wisdom when it comes to our health. We need to know how to live in such a way as to live healthy and we also need discernment when we need to see a doctor. We need to consider whether their advice and course of action is the right one. This is not a fearful thing for those who are saved. We have the all-wise Physician Who desires to guide His children in the right way.
Those who are lost are living a very risky life already. They do not want the God of Creation to guide them. They would rather rely on fallible and ill-trained medical people to experiment on them than trust in the true God to guide them in their decision making.
Those that are saved can be a blessing to others by showing them the importance of knowing and trusting in the true God. He wants to bless each person with eternal life and with His peace.
If you do not know Him, why not turn to Him today and ask Him to forgive you and save you through faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is willing to save any repentant sinner. You will be blessed in trusting in Him alone for your salvation.
