Hello. This is pastor Bartel.
We want to add a new feature to our website for 2026. Lord willing, we will be reading through the Bible in one year.
The Bible is the most important book in the world. For the English speaking world the Bible is the King James Version. It comes from the inspired Masoretic Hebrew and the Textus Receptus Greek. The wise person takes the time to read God’s Word every day and also to heed what God’s Word says. In order to benefit from God’s Word, you will need to be saved. You can read God’s Word even if you are not saved. However, you will not gain much from it because your heart is not in tune with the God Who gave us His Word. Once you are saved, you will be able to understand God’s Word and you will also desire to know the God of the Word.
We will limit our commentary of the Bible as we read through it. If you have questions you can send us an email or a text and we will do our best to answer your questions with Bible based answers.
To read through the Bible in one year takes about 89 verses per day. It is important to be consistent in Bible reading. It will only take approximately five minutes of your day to read the verses each day. We will be recording them so that you can listen to them while driving or walking. You can have your Bible open and follow along if you take the time to do so.
God began with the book of Genesis. The word Genesis means beginning. Genesis 1:1 declares: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The first twelve chapter of the book of Genesis lay the foundation for everything else we read in the Bible.
Genesis chapter 1&2 tell us how God created all things. It reveals the authority of God. He is omnipotent. He is also omniscient. He is also omnipresent. There is nothing right that God cannot do. God does not lack any intelligence to do all that He declares. He is also everywhere present at the same time. Anyone, in any part of the world can call out to God and He will be there for the person.
