Joel 3:4  Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;

Genesis 12:1  Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2  And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

In Luke 13 we read:

Luke 13:32  And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.

God appointed Herod as king of the Roman Empire of that time. He knew all about that man. He knew he was like a fox. There is a saying that warns that it is not wise to put a fox in charge of a henhouse. The fox will eat the hens. That is the nature of the fox. You cannot change their nature.
Lost man also has a nature. Lost man is capable of much evil. He chooses to function on an emotional and fleshly level. Pride dominates in the life of the lost. The lost person can develop quite an ego over time. With that ego/pride, he can develop evil ideas. If the person can assemble the right people around him, he can become quite a danger to society.
That is what we have with our current Prime Minister of Canada. Approximately two months ago, he announced that he was going to declare that Canada was going to recognize a “Palestinian state” at the U.N. in September. At that time, he announced that there were certain preconditions that the Arabs in that area needed to agree to. Hamas is a terrorist organization and according to Mr. Carney back then, Hamas needed to be disarmed and dismantled. They were also not to have any impact on the “new” government that was to be put in place in Gaza. That “new” government would be of a similar nature as our Canadian government. We have a different man at the helm, but it is the same corrupt government policies that are in place.
The decree that the P.M. made in July was not brought before Parliament. It was just declared by our dictator/fox. Now, just this weekend, while a major event was taking place in the U.S., Mr. Carney changed his plan and chose to announce the recognition of a “Palestinian state” without preconditions. This was never discussed in Parliament either. This is simply a Carney/Liberal idea.
It is important to note that there is no such nation as “Palestine”. As noted in the book of Joel, there was a place called Palestine. Another name for that region was Palestina. It seems to be associated with the land inhabited by the Philistines.
During the time of the Roman Empire, the Romans renamed Israel as Palestine. Their purpose for that was to try to erase the fact that Israel was to be the people of God. Some maps that are found in the back of Bibles identify the land of Israel as Palestine. That was a name given to that land by pagans. God first changed Jacob’s name to Israel and then He renamed the land of Canaan and called it Israel. That name Israel has the name “El” in it. That is a name for God. Every time the word Israel is spoken or read, it is a reminder that it refers to the people of God and also the land of God. God showed Abraham the boundaries of that land and He gave Israel most of that land in the days of king David. Since that time, they have lost parts of it due to their sin. Today, the Jews are only living in a small portion of the land that God promised to Abraham. In the Millennium, they will have all the land that God had promised to Abraham.
After Israel was allowed to move back into a portion of their land in 1948, the Arabs tried hard to take that land for themselves. They did not take into account the fact that God gave that land to Israel. When the world decided to allow Israel to move back into that land, it was actually God that brought Israel back into the land that He had given them back in the days of Abraham. The Arabs convinced some of their people to be ready to move into the land of Israel and occupy it when they would have chased the Jews out of that land. God did not allow that to happen.
Those Arabs could not take over the land of Israel but the nations they came from did not want to take them back. They decided to classify them as “refugees”. They chose that term to gain the sympathy of the world for these “homeless” and “nationless” people. The world, being in darkness, chose to buy into the deception of the Arabs and thus we have this “homeless” people whom they called “Palestinians”. The goal of the Palestinians is the same as that of the Iranians and all Muslims. That goal is the destruction of the Jews. They chant: “from the river to the sea…”
Canada has foolishly chosen to sympathize with these terrorists. For a number of years now, our governments have protected this terrorist organization and now given full legitimacy to them by publicly declaring their support for a “Palestinian state”. This choice by our current government is inviting the curse of God upon our land. We have already been under that curse and this move will just intensify that curse.
God has shown us examples of what happens when a nation chooses to defy Him and chooses to take a position against His people and His land. The UK which was once known as “Great Britain” has fallen into disarray due to its position in favour of Islam and against Israel. It is a broken nation that is in big trouble. True Christians are under attack in that country.
Canada has taken the position that it too is going to harbour terrorists and allow them to intimidate Christians. We have had a number of church buildings destroyed by fire over the past few years. Not all of those buildings represented a “house of God”. Those who have chosen to destroy those buildings have no idea what a true church is. To them all churches are the same and they want to get rid of them.
The government has defended this arson. The enemies of God are becoming bolder due to this “protection” from the government. This protection will be short lived. The end result for the wicked in the lake of fire. They may succeed in burning down some buildings now, but they will be in torment for all eternity due to their rejection of the true God.
It is important for those that are truly born again to pray for boldness. We need to be growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. We need to pray for the government and for the citizens of this country. We also need to pray for the terrorists that are gaining more and more power. God is still in charge. He is giving the god of this world some rope, but the devil will eventually be cast into the lake of fire as well.
Only those who are truly born again can take courage in this time of darkness. Some lost people are finding comfort among themselves, but that comfort is short lived. Man needs to know the true God in order to have eternal life. Only those who have eternal life have a hope that is real. Be sure you know the true God today and serve Him. Don’t be swayed by the hype of the lost. Choose life and seek after Truth.
