The Importance Of The Wise Servant

Proverbs 14:33  Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.
34  Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
35  The king’s favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.

Wisdom finds a home in the heart of the saved person. That is the person who has understanding. The lost look at things from a completely wrong perspective.
The fool is easy to spot. He lacks wisdom. The few people in Canada who are saved, can easily see the folly of our political system. If you observe any public meeting of politicians, you will notice they are not allowed to address the person they want to talk to. They have to address the speaker or moderator or whatever they choose to call the person for that meeting. That is foolishness. Then when the question or accusation is made, they have to be so careful in how they word it. They cannot call a liar a liar. The person being accused or questioned seldom answers the question given.
The entire Parliamentary system is a sham. It is a complete waste of taxpayer dollars. Our P.M. does not consult with Parliament. He is giving away billions of taxpayer dollars without any discussion in Parliament. It is a shame that there are so few Canadians that have wisdom. That is the mess we are in.
Thankfully, and by God’s grace, we still have the opportunity to have churches in public places. We do not have to meet secretly yet. There have been arrests made and there have been fines given out but the government has not become as evil as they were in the 1500’s during the Catholic inquisition. The Catholics still run much of the government. They are quite subtle in their dealings. Of course the foolish cannot see that. They think that as long as the government talks of what they will provide for the citizens, they must be a good government. The government is not there to supply anything for us. They have no money. The only money they handle is money they have taken by taxation, most of which is unjust.
Worse than a corrupt government system, is the corruption in religion. As mentioned, the Catholics still have much control over religion. Many groups are seeking to find closer ties with the Catholics. The Catholics also have become more open to the secularization of their false religion. They have modernized some of their practices to be more acceptable to the gullible.
Righteousness is an important quality. Israel was the talk of the nations when righteousness was more prominent. King Saul was despised. It was David who protected Israel during his reign. When king Saul decided to waste his time and resources on trying to kill David, the Philistines attacked and eventually Saul died in battle, along with his sons.
King David was a good king. God blessed the nation greatly during his reign. He would have blessed them even more if David had not acted in lust on occasion. King Solomon began well but soon turned away due to his unchecked lust for women.
After Solomon’s death, God divided Israel into two unequal parts. There were some better times for Judah, but they slowly but surely came to the point where God had to send the Babylonians in to destroy the temple and kill some and capture others.
Sin is a reproach to any people. It does not need to just be Jews. Canada is a reproach to God. The U.S. is not far behind. President Trump is doing some good things. He mentioned the other day there were only two types of people, referring to male and female. Our P.M. would never make such a statement. It is a true statement, but our P.M. is far too corrupt to even consider making such a statement. Of course the premiers are no better. Sadly, too many religious organizations are too afraid and too ignorant to agree with what God declared. He made them male and female.
The wise servant will find favour with the king. That was the case with Joseph. The king needed someone to interpret his dreams. His “wisemen’ were useless. Joseph was brought out of prison and he trusted in God to give him the answer needed. He was not ashamed to tell the Pharaoh where the answer would come from. He was elevated to second in command due to his humility before God.
Daniel and his three friends also found favour with the king. It took some time, but king Nebuchadnezzar came to see he needed those godly men more than his fools he had gathered around him.
In Daniel 6 the king’s foolish aids were eaten by lions due to their wickedness. King Darius was somewhat of a fool, but he recovered himself to a degree and realized the importance of having Daniel alive and those wicked men dead. The government expense account was lessened when those men were killed by the lions. They were just a drain on the treasury anyway.
It is important to know the true God and serve Him with humility. True saints are not often appreciated, but God has a way of giving them a voice if they will glorify Him.
We need men of wisdom today. Every generation needs them. As we come to the end of this dispensation, we see less and less men of wisdom. It is a shame to see how wickedness and foolishness has been naturalized. God has not changed and many will be ashamed one day.
Be sure you have God’s wisdom in your heart today. If you don’t, turn to God in repentance today and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as your own personal Saviour today. You will never regret that important choice. If you are saved, be sure to honour God with the wisdom He has given you.
