Watching For The Right Facts

Watching For The Right Facts

Matthew 24:42  Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43  But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

God does not want His children to be asleep. We know the world is fast asleep. They are very active in their foolishness. However, they are clued out when it comes to what is actually taking place. Those who are tied to CNN and CBC and such news broadcasters are fast asleep. Those who feed on those venues have been brainwashed and they are generally quite convinced that they have the truth.
I listened to an older man talking about the fires in Canada and he stated that he could not remember a time when there were so many fires burning in Canada. He also stated that he had never seen fires burning consecutively through the summer. This man feeds off the “left wing” media. Most of those who follow those media sources are beyond hope. They accept what those media say as if it were the “gospel truth.” Yet those same people do not believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God. We do not give up hope, but we need to understand that the brainwashing has been quite successful. The need is for clear Biblical responses.
Matthew 24 is one of several passages that give us a glimpse into the future. It deals with a time that is beyond our time today. It covers the time known as the Tribulation time and beyond. The disciples were not blinded by left wing media, but they were not seeing things as they needed to. They were impressed with the temple. The temple was to be the centrepiece of Jewish life. It was to be the house of God. The Jews had turned it into a den of thieves.
King Herod had used the temple as a political tool to gain the allegiance of the Jews. He spent 46 years rebuilding the temple. It was no doubt quite an impressive building. However, Jesus was not impressed with it. He saw something of far greater importance than that stone and wooden structure. The gold in that building did not impress Him either. He knew that He was the real Temple. He was being rejected by the Jews, just as they were rejecting the real purpose of that material temple.
The disciples needed to understand that things were not going in the right direction on earth. That temple they were so impressed with was soon going to be destroyed. We know that temple was destroyed in 70 A.D. Israel has not had a physical temple now for close to 2,000 years. Israel has not known the true God for far more than 2,000 years.
The Middle East is an important piece of geography. Just recently it was reported that Saudi Arabia has come to an agreement, brokered by the U.S., hoping to have a normalization agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel within a year. Then even more recently it has been reported that Israel is not going to agree to the proposed deal. In the proposed deal, Israel is supposed to give up more territory in exchange for peace with assurances that the U.S. would see to it that peace would be achieved.
The current U.S. government is anti-Israel. They are working with Iran. We are seeing a repeat of the Jimmy Carter days in the U.S. at this time. We know that Israel will find itself asleep at the time of the Tribulation. They will welcome the antichrist with open arms. They lack the spiritual ability to see what is happening. Mr. Netanyahu knows Iran is their enemy, but he is a lost man and thus cannot see the real situation that is developing. He also does not realize the solution is repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Then we look to the African continent and we see Niger and its neighbours turning away from the their Western Alliance and moving to a Russian alliance. France had a major role in that part of Africa and is now seen as the enemy of that part of the country. Some in Africa are calling for Macron’s death.
Many people are concerned about the fires in Canada and the recent flooding in the east. These things are real, but they are a small part of what is happening. The governments are lying to us and using these things to scare people into believing in man-made climate change. The U.N. has changed their language from global warming to global boiling.
It is true that man is playing with the climates. They have been seeding clouds for a long time. Bill Gates, George Soros and others are now talking of seeding the skies in order to shade the sun out. God is sitting in the heavens and laughing at the foolishness of man. Man cannot even take care of the things that God has given him dominion over. He has been and will continue to make a mess of things. We have cold weather in the winter. If they have their way, we will have much colder temperatures in the winter and the weather will not be suitable for crops to grow in summer. The Bible warns of famines and pestilences during the time of the Tribulation. God uses the foolishness of man to punish man at times.
Just recently there has been a major fire in Hawaii. Hawaii is a haven for foolishness. Many people think that going to Hawaii is the place to be. It may have interesting sites to see, but there is also much wickedness there. Are they more wicked than other places? Not likely. This fire came up suddenly and with the intense winds it spread rapidly. Six people have been killed due to this fire. Apparently the island of Maui has been severely affected by this fire.
Rather than following the lies of the left wing media and believing in global boiling, man needs to listen to the Word of God. There is a great need for the preaching of the truth. We know that true preaching will seem like a strange thing to the world. However, it is the preaching of the truth that is the only answer to man’s need.
The greatest need of man is to know God’s peace. God’s peace is only available to those who repent toward God and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. That is the greatest need of man. This world is going to be destroyed. Not only that, but:

Hebrews 9:27  And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28  So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Judgement is sure. Where you face judgment is a choice you make now. Don’t be lulled to sleep by the things the media wants you to pay attention to. Listen to what God says. Jesus warns us to be watching. The source of truth is the Word of God. We can know the truth and we can be delivered from the bondage of sin only by trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
Trusting in government and the news media is a sure way to be doomed for eternity. It is a sure way of being in a state of panic and stress. These emotions cause sickness in the body and mind. That is what the governments want. They want to debilitate society. As we have seen over the past three years, they were successful in doing that. Lost people do not believe in a Creator God. They believe in “mother nature.” The president of Brazil just recently stated that the rich countries need to pay “mother nature” to get the climate under control. He stated it was not that they as a nation needed money, but “mother nature” needs money. “Mother nature” is a fictitious entity. If he is calling for money, it needs to be paid to some place. Obviously he wants to be a recipient of that money. The gullible and blinded nations will no doubt tax their people more to throw more money into an empty hole that will never be satisfied.
The Bible gives us many examples of those who have trusted in idols and of how useless that has been. Even the murdering of the firstborn son did not help. Trusting in the God of Creation is the sure way to be saved and prepared to enter into eternity in heaven. Those who are saved have a hope and it is important that we remind the lost of the necessity of knowing the truth. We need to carefully and prayerfully teach them the truth. We need to be sure we are giving them the unadulterated truth.
God’s time clock is ticking. We do not know the day nor the hour of the Lord’s return. Those who are saved should be able to see that the promise of His coming is real and it will be soon. How soon, we do not know. The hope that God has given to His children is for others as well. Let us tell them the truth.
