Ezekiel 38:1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
President Trump likes to boast about his success with Iran. He claims they have no airforce and no navy. He claims they are broke. Yet they still launch drones and missiles against certain targets. They have also not taken a conciliatory approach to what is happening in their country. They still intend to control the Strait of Hormuz.
Mr. Trump is a part of the “name it and claim it” crowd. His grandfather and his father and he himself were all influenced by the likes of Norman Vincent Peale. There is a dying group of leaders today who are still promoting this lie. A new batch is coming up behind them. It seems that Kenneth Copeland’s granddaughter is questioning her grandfather’s heresies. She is not calling them that yet, but we need to pray that she would let God show her that what she has been led to believe is a lie.
According to news reports the “Evangelical” people had much to do to get President Trump re-elected. The evangelical people are very compromised at best and most of them are lost. They lack discernment. It is true that Mr. Trump is much better than Kamala Harris would have been. She proved herself unworthy during the Biden years. Her vice president is a corrupt man who should be in jail.
It is important to remember that it is God that sets up kings and He takes them down. Biden was there to continue the downward spiral of the U.S. They did not seek after God during Trump’s first term in office. On the surface, the dark money put Mr. Biden in the office of president, but it was God who ultimately put him there.
God has used Mr. Trump, a lost man, to slow down the attacks against Israel. We need to keep in mind:
II Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Those who are truly born again need to be reminded that God wants people to be saved. He does not want anyone to go to the lake of fire, and yet the majority of mankind will be there. That is not God’s fault. It is not because God is weak. It is because God gave man freewill. Man is born in sin and most choose to remain there for their entire life. Many have accepted a form of false religion and they assume they are good enough but they are not saved.
I listened to a man speaking yesterday who stated that a person that is truly saved will be changed. That is a Biblical fact. Repentance is required of anyone that will be saved. Repentance is turning to God. When a person turns to God, he is turning his back away from what he was and had. He wants to be changed. That change comes through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Most people have never repented. They have just added Jesus to the mix. They like their sinfulness. That is why the term “Christian Rock” came out some years back. There is no such thing as christian rock, but many people believe there is. The current “worship teams” and the CCM music are also not God-honouring music. The entertainment style preaching with its digital screens and casually dressed leadership is not honouring to God either.
We need men who are born again and convinced that God’s Word is true from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21. We need men who will stand up and preach and teach God’s Word with boldness. Those men are few and far between.
In our opening verses Persia is present day Iran. Iran will be a major force that will come against Israel in the last days. That prophecy has not been fulfilled yet, but it will be. Turkey is also in that mix and Turkey is flexing its muscle more lately.
Iran would love to have a nuclear bomb. We do not know if they will achieve that or not. Russia has the bomb and they will be part of that alliance.
Mr. Trump will not tame Iran. He has spent much money and used much ammunition to try to break them down. He has not been successful. He is also involved in Ukraine and wants to talk with North Korea. He is also dealing with an imbalance in trade agreements with many countries including Canada. He has his hands full. He is not the “saviour”. He is a type of the antichrist. He is a boaster and a deceiver. Those who are saved need to pray for his salvation. Currently he gets his counsel from ungodly men and women. Our P.M. who does not know what to stand up for unless it lines his pockets is no help. He needs to be saved as well.
The proclamation of the Word of God is paramount. Those who are truly born again should not apologize for knowing the Lord and preaching His Word. We need to be faithful to Him. He will be glorified. We have the privilege of making Him known.
I Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
