Proverbs 11:1 A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.
2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
Honesty in dealings is important. A person might get ahead by cheating, but God sees it all. We should not be surprised with the corruption among some people in Canada because our governments are leading this nation in corruption. The federal government wasted millions and possibly even billions during the wuhan virus debacle. The Arrive Scam program was just one of many. No one has been fired or arrested for that corrupt scam.
God reminds us here that honesty is a requirement with Him. A just weight is His delight. Life is not all about making money. Most people do not realize that at death they leave everything behind. No one takes anything with them after death. A person can spend thousands of dollars on a funeral, but that money goes into a six foot hole or into the partying that takes place after the funeral. Funeral homes become quite wealthy as they play on the emotions of those who are mourning the loss of a loved one. Even those who preplan their loved one’s funeral are lured into spending far more than is needed.
Pride always leads to shame. A person can only spin their lies so long. Mr. Carney was in the European parliament this week and when he took the podium, some in the parliament chanted USA, over and over. Carney is not from the USA. He is trying to get away from the U.S. Canada has found a willing sucker in the U.S. for many years. Mr. Trump says no more, and Canada, like most spoiled children, does not like it. Canada does not want to become responsible so they are looking to make alliances elsewhere. They do not want to lose their “sovereignty” to the U.S. but they are willing to give it up for the E.U. Foolish thinking and actions, but that is the nature of fools.
The lowly person is the humble person who is willing to submit to God. The saved person does not care to be the top of the heap. He does not need to be the king or the governor. He is content to let God be true and he will be willing to submit to Him like Joseph did or Daniel and his three friends. The apostle Paul thought he had a good thing going as a Pharisee, but he saw he was wrong and he willingly submitted to the Lord Jesus Christ. After Paul repented and was saved he became a wise man. Prior to that he had spent time and money to get an education as a Pharisee, but he was a fool.
Integrity is a foreign concept to most people. Dishonesty classifies just about everyone. It takes an upright person to be a person of integrity. An upright person is one who is born again and submissive to the will of God. A person that tries to bury sin is not one that is upright.
We have a system of trained “professionals” today from politicians to lawyers to police officers to doctors and nurses, who do not know what it means to be upright. The wuhan virus scam made this very obvious to anyone who was paying attention. There are still doctors today who walk around with masks on. They all pushed the poison shots that they called vaccines. They tried to force people to get “tested” for the virus and most yielded to those scams. Some are still yielding to that today.
The upright person cannot look another person in the eyes and lie to them. Integrity is not something we are born with. It is something that is learned. It begins with true humility which leads to repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. It requires a continual obedience to God and submission to His Word.
The contrast to integrity is perverseness. Transgressors are those who transgress God’s laws. Canadian law is so corrupt that it is not hard to be classified as a good citizen in this country. It is not your actions that determine who you are. It is who you know. In reality it is Who you know that makes you a person of integrity. When a person truly know the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, the Holy Spirit indwells that person. He guides the saved person to be a person of integrity.
The lost person needs to find a “good” lawyer, or a “good” accountant who can twist things into a pretzel to make it look good, even when it is not. God says the transgressor will be destroyed. A person may go through this life in an “honourable” manner. Many people may attend the person’s funeral and the dead person may be highly spoken of. However, we must understand that man does not have the final say on the destination of man. God is the judge. He is the Law-giver. He has an absolute law that will never be changed. He makes it clear that His holiness is expected of His people. Through the new birth, holiness is possible. Apart from that it is impossible. That is why the “holiness movement” is a sham. It redefines holiness and makes it a joke.
The good news is that we have a Bible. We can always examine what we believe and what we hear from the Word of God. If we want to know the Truth, we can. If we want to be a person of integrity, we must be saved and submissive to the will and Word of God. That is the only foundation we can build upon. The Word of God reveals the true God and Saviour to man. You will never go wrong in submitting to God’s Word.
