Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
In verse 28 we read that God blessed “them”. Today we hear of much confusion regarding pronouns. Ungodly people want to be addressed by a variation of pronouns depending on what they declare to be. In some places governments are suggesting that it is hatred not to “respect” the wishes of these deceived people.
We noted yesterday that God created them “male and female”. The fall of man did not change that. We noted as well that the rejection of God has caused some people to turn to a very twisted and corrupted view of humanity. This is not new to our generation. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah due to their sin of sodomy. In the early history of the nation of Israel, the tribe of Benjamin was almost destroyed due to their sin of sodomy. God has warned man that it is an abomination for a man to lie with man or with a beast. Sodomy invariably devolves into pedophilia and beastiality. Not that many years ago, all three of these corruptions were unlawful even in our secular society. Due to the rejection of God, many people now accept these wicked practices.
This past weekend there was a demonstration in Ottawa regarding the recognition of this month as a “celebration” of debauchery. There were people on both sides of this issue present. There was a report of a Muslim woman who was standing by a young boy who was trampling on sodomite flags. Apparently in that same group were “christians”. Some news reports noted that Muslims and Christians had come together to reject this “celebration”. It is true that Muslims reject sodomy, at least in public. It is also true that born again Christians reject sodomy. However, there is no coming together of these two communities on this or any issue.
The god of Islam is a pagan invention of the mind as directed by the devil. Its roots go back to Genesis 10 and the introduction of Babel and of Nimrod. Islam worships a moon god. That can be traced back to that time. Biblical Christianity originated with the true God and has the Lord Jesus Christ as Its Head. Muslims are motivated by hatred. Christians are motivated by the love of God.
In the 1980’s there was a new word invented called “Chrislam”. This word was developed to describe the union between Christianity and Islam. It began in Nigeria and has spread to others parts of the world. It is an abomination. There is no unity between true Christianity and Islam. We have already noted this.
We have mentioned before that Christians do not win by taking placards and going out and protesting. All that does is rile people up and does not give occasion to minister to the need of the wicked. Christians need to proclaim the truth and give people the opportunity to rethink their ungodly choices.
As we go through the month of June, and the open promotion of the wickedness of sodomy, born again Christians need to be much in prayer for wisdom and boldness in standing for truth and seeking to help the many deceived people to reconsider the course of their life. The educational system of our time has done much to remove the “ancient landmarks”. Public education allows for many gods, but it rejects the true God. Most religions have a “form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof”. True Christians do not need to worry about numbers. True Christians have the God of Creation guiding them. The Word of God is still quick and powerful. The Word of God will still speak to the heart of man. As in times past, It will be an offence to many and a blessing to a few. Those who are saved, do not need to try to find a “gentler” way to address the sins of our time. We need to take the words of the apostle Paul:
Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
We can do this if we are saved and have the armour of God on. God still wants to bless man today. He cannot bless the wickedness that is so common among the lost. When God’s people stand up for the truth, they will be blessed of God and they will also be a blessing to others.
